thanks, i´ll try to avoid Brother Outlaw
on the other hand i´ll try luck with Go with God, Gringo

With Brother Outlaw you can make a journey through Fidani country.

With Pray to God and Dig Your Grave even more…

No, that’s a good one, only with a shitty ending.

edit:

Ooops, now I understand what you mean, but, sorry, I totally forgot about the Fidani claims in the film’s thread. My shitty memory …

one day i´ll finally arrange Fidani & comp. session - one has to be properly prepared for such an event

I wasn’t very fond of Go With God, gringo. But Don’t Wait, Django…Shoot! is pretty good film.

The first hour is excellent

Watched the excellent God Forgives,I Dont. I see its at #30 on the top 50 list even without a decent English audio release… If it did I wonder if that ranking might go up a few? Hmm…

God Forgives has lost 4 or 5 positions over the last year.

Is it coincidence that Run Man Run, Mannaja and Navajo Joe all have easily available English audio releases and are ahead of (the much better) God Forgives I Dont in the poll? I think not…

I’ve reviewed 6 of Mulargia’s westerns, of which I rated Cjamango highest (6,5/10) and El Puro and Shango lowest (both 5/10). The rest 6/10 stuff.

An ok director that knows how to shoot a western. I wouldn’t compare Brother Outlaw to Fidani’s films. Action scenes are totally different technically and in terms of build up and so is the atmosphere. But Brother Outlaw isn’t that bad. It just feels a little uninspired and is a tad too slow. The gunplay, albeit brief and with the typical Leone type setup, is the best thing about it. Otherwise pretty forgettable, but not a bad film for a sunday afternoon.

The DFW dvd has English audio and is pretty good.

Among those three only Mannaja is inferior to God Forgives in my opinion.

Thanks Bad Lieutenant… Is that a Dutch DVD?

I’ll have to rewatch Run Man Run and Navajo Joe. I dont recall being all that impressed by either.

You haven’t voted so far, or have you?

Voting helps more than English releases.

Imo too, but the other 2 have their qualities, especially Run Man Run.

Not exactly the Fidani style, but the flaws are similar. Things like scenes that don’t make much sense and go on forever, the bad acting, the poor sets …
And it is very boring.

I think the top 50 is, to a certain extent, a popularity contest. I have the feeling if the English DVD was more readily available, God Forgives would have a lot more votes. Maybe im wrong

Yes, Dutch dvd.

Yeah, you’re right there. But I think Fidani’s film are more fun and in general more kinetic so to speak.
