“Shoot Out At Medicine Bend” (1957)
-Randolph Scott. Angie Dickinson, James Garner
Plot:
The brother of a cavalry officer is killed in an Indian raid, because he was sold faulty ammunition and could not defend himself. His brother and two fellow soldiers go after the crooks who sold the bad ammo.
Phantom’s Review: While this is a minor film in Scott’s career it is still a fun movie, with plenty of action. I enjoyed it.
Price of Death
The best Spaghetti Western I’ve watched yesterday (It was the only one). IMO a mediocre movie which could be better. Gianni Garko should have been a more darker character and not Sartana like. Klaus Kinski has a minor role but he is doing the best of it.
I watched the KochMedia Release which had good picture and sound quality! 
The Legend of Nigger Charley - Fred Williamson escapes slavery and becomes a do-gooder/gunfighter. A fair film, but nothing earth-shattering.

What did they think of it? Have you converted anybody to Spaghetti Westerns?
Never been able to convert anyone into a Spaghetti fan as of yet

Spoke to my son on the phone the other day and he was telling me how he and his friends (all in their early twenties) had a western evening in watching GBU and FoD purely as a result of their recently becoming obsessed with Red Dead Redemption. None of them except my boy had ever seen a Spaghetti before and apparently they were all wowed by GBU. If they are typical maybe we’ll be seeing some more new western fans coming through as a result of gaming.
Have been trying with some of my friends. Hehe. It went so-so (I stole that last joke from Özz Nujen, shame on me)!

My older brother is a big fan of Leon’e Spaghetti Westerns and would dearly like to see Duck, You Sucker, which is something. He has also expressed some interest in The Great Silence.
I don’t know about converted but I have shown some of the better non-Leone ones to friends that wouldn’t have otherwise seen them. My good buddy really liked Django and even asked to borrow it a few months later.
Of course I get my wife to watch the odd one but it’s usually at the promise of watching a chick flick in return (usually a Hugh Grant film - argh!)

been meaning to sit down and watch a spaghetti but i just cant! Between watching Deadwood and playing Red Dead Revolver it seems i cant quite fit a movie in there…

Watch The Hard Man (1957) with Guy Madison, normal. regular stuff, with the extra of watching Bonanza doing a baddie.

I like The Hunting Party…my kind of western. The blood spurts are some of best in my view from around this period.

The point some of us just don’t buy.
I don’t know if you’re serious (some strange ideas brought forward on these pages the last few days) but those film makers certainly were. Somehow they thought in those days that women liked to be raped and unconsciously didn’t want otherwise: the man of their dreams was (in this crackpot idea) a brute who’d grab them by the hair and take them by force.
I can assure you, Silence, that rape is horrible thing, it’s humiliating
I don’t condemn the entire movie for it, The Hunting Party has some things to say for it: it is exciting, it is well-acted, the violence is effective, but I don’t like this ‘women like to be raped’ aspect of the movie, that’s just one step too far
