The Last Western You Watched?

The Way West was viewed.

A bit old fashioned and overlong with standard direction. Hated the music. Enjoyed the lowering of wagon trains and animals over a cliff with ropes, as something you do not see to often.

Heaven’s Gate
Took me 3 days to finish but it’s a good movie. I have no strong feelings about it.

California
Finally got to finish seeing this one as my last attempt ended in epic failure. A good Spaghetti with a good depiction of the reconstruction.

I found it a bit longish too …oo

There Will Be Blood (it’s westernish enough for me to put it here)
I’m not quite sure what to think of this movie, it was kind of strange. I guess i will have to watch it again someday, but i have no desire to do so in the time being

Ben and Charlie
Not necessarily funny but last time I watched it I had a good ol’ time and watched it again. Never was anything special but it’s a well made film that is lot’s o’ fun.

I thought it was good. Great cinematography. I absolutely loved the endingā€¦ā€œI’m finished!ā€

You must be superhuman. I usually fall asleep once & that’s it.

Silversaddle
Nice movie with likeable carachters and for once the child in it isn’t annoying. But, it’s still hard to belive it’s a Spaghetti Western made by Lucio Fulci!

Django Story
Entertaining Fidani flick! If you don’t mind a couple of flaws it’s recomended.

Day Of Angerhttp://www.spaghetti-western.net/index.php/Giorni_dell’ira%2C_I - don’t know how many times I’ve seen it. Still good, but somehow never quite as good as I remember.

My experience is reverse…when I think of it I feel it was very good but no a 5 star film… but when I revisit it…its still packs a punch…

Last Western I watched:
Riding Shotgun

Agreed. This one grows with more watchings. Some go the other way.

O’ CANGACEIRO

Odd movie, at the same time very unusual (set in Brazil) and familiar (typical Zapata)
Violent, beautifully looking, often very funny, with a flamboyant Milian and a more subdued Fajardo (both in typical roles)
Still I couldn’t shake the feelin’ something was missing

More about this film later this week

Also my feelings about this film, and also very similar to my feelings about the other 2 westerns by Giovanni Fago. Something is missing to make out of the interesting parts something really interesting.

I agree about the ending, but i’m not really that crazy about its script - it’s not really that good and the music was pretty horrible. But it’s not a bad movie by any means. I’ve made up my mind and this one would get 7/10

The last western i watched was:
One more to hell
Part comedy, part serious revenge western. All in all a very good movie

Demicheli: Gunmen of Rio Grandehttp://www.spaghetti-western.net/index.php/Sfida_a_Rio_Bravo (dvd-r)
-standard early sw stuff.

The Beast
The final 30 minutes almost put me to sleep. A pity because the idea behind it was good and it had Kinski and nice Cipriani score

Still my fave…gets better every time I see it!

Still haven’t seen any of his movies but after what I’ve heard, ā€œMario Moronā€ would be a good name.

Two Sons of Ringo
Now that was a bad one…
