Yep!

I felt like watching something familiar today so I pulled this one out. Very quirky but this might be my favorite Corbucci film.

First Date didn’t go well. Home early. Always next time :grinning:

Yeah, ‘Specialist’… I watched it last year…wasn’t bothered…needs a second viewing…

Well, I hope you at least got a good meal out of it. :grimacing:

I think this is one of those movies I appreciate more each time I see it. I typically don’t go for this type of western (I prefer Kill the Wicked over Matalo!) but, for some reason, I find the disdain that Corbucci shows for literally every element of society in this movie to be amusing. As usual, he shows his contempt for the wealthy but he also seems to be disillusioned by the revolutionary element as well…and I don’t even know where to start on his opinion of the hippy movement!

Yes. We paid half and half. A very lovely lady, but we didn’t gel.
Maybe next time…

'Specialist;…on my list for a second viewing…

Watched this for the first time a few months ago going in completely blind. To say I was surprised when the entire town started crawling on the floor naked would be an understatement.

I’ve got the Eureka! Blu Ray of this one, and I must admit I think I like it better than Django, (sacrilege I know, but hey it is my opinion) something about it is just so enigmatic.

Well, you can take some small solace in the fact that I am right there with you. I am sure we are in the minority though and there might be some people with pitchforks coming after us to take away our Spaghetti Western Membership cards.

That had to be a very interesting scene to shoot. “We need extras for today’s shoot but here’s the catch…”

I prefer The Specialists to Django as well.

Cemetery without crosses, Arrow BR. Re-watch. Must have been 30 years since I watched it.
I liked it more now. Maybe because there is more reference over the years and more information available. Also read the “thread” afterwards and I think I can not anything extra to it.

That’s a good one

‘The Proposition’ (2005) a re-watch … very good, but alas, not great. Much as I enjoy grimy, dusty sets and costumes in my westerns … this just seemed over the top in the dirt department, to the point were it becomes noticeable and distracting.
