I just watched Major Dundee again since it’s been a few years. I’m afraid that the film just doesn’t work for me anymore. I love the first half and then it all goes down hill as soon as they enter the Mexican village. The film would have benefited from further butchering. A 90 minute B-film would have been enough since everything just feels too crammed in both the theatrical and extended cuts.
I hope it works okay for me, I’ve got the new Arrow blu-ray arriving next week, and I’ve never seen the movie before. Blind purchase.
Great choice, one of my favorite Spaghetti Westerns.
Luigi Pistilli is great.
