The Last Movie You Watched?

Just watched an episode of The Equalizer called “Reign of Terror”, featuring special guest appearances by Tomas Milian and Fred Willamson.

I re-watched ”Prime Cut” a crime film from 1972 with Lee Marvin and Gene Hackman.
Marvin is a mob henchman from Chicago who is sent to Kansas City to collect debt from local cattle baron played by Hackman.
Hackman had sent the pervious collector back to Chicago as a pack of sausages so Marvin is in for a tough job.
The overall plot is in a way similar to that from “Get Carter” which was released a year earlier.
Plagiarism or not the film is great end deserves to be recognized as one of the great seventies crime films.

The Woman - Pretty good, worth a watch but don’t go into expecting major nastiness, it is grim here and there but not a much as it’s touted to be, regardless it is still pretty twisted.

Mysterious Island - Not seen this since I was a kid, great fun, I’ve always loved these Harryhausen effects films. The print on the blu ray is really nice and crisp. Recommended.

I watched this recently. I also enjoyed it.

Last night I saw Hunter Prey, which was thoroughly engrossing. It’s made on a low budget by the guy who did that Batman: Dead End fan film. Give it a shot. The props might be painted Nerf guns, but Hunter Prey puts a lot of films with much bigger budgets to shame.

Humanoids From The Deep.

Some monsters from the sea cause trouble in a local U.S town. Not to worry though Doug McClure is at hand to help save the day. Always thought this one has a fast pace, and good special effects for a low budget film. Viewing the extras you find out the film was sort of put together from two films, with one being the one that included all the sex and violence.

The third episode of TERRA NOVA

The story picks up a little and this was the best episode so far, with some nice references to Hitchcock’s Birds and the Vin Diesel movie Pitch Black.
The sentimentality which was of soap opera proportions in the two first episodes, is also brought back to a more acceptable level

Here We Go Round The Mulberry Bush - Watched this this afternoon and found it compelling viewing, it’s such a nice film to watch.

Barry Evans (Whom I know best from the classic LWT show Mind Your Language) plays a young man who desperately wants to get in there with girls, this film follows his adventures.

Also has a great supporting roles from Judy Geeson and Denholm Elliott.

I think the actor who plays Evans father is one of the screws in Clockwork Orange.

Here We Go Round The Mulberry Bush is definately worth a watch.

Holy Flame of the Martial World this evening. It was batshit insane, but great fun to watch.

“The Hand Of Death” (1962) rarely seen little " B" movie that was thought lost but a print was found. It starred John Agar as a scientist who is experimenting with a nerve gas that might make nuclear war obsolete but it of course goes wrong and he at first goes tanned but if he touches anyone or they touch him they die a horrible burned out death.Eventually he mutates into a monster that allegedly was the inspiration for Ben Grimm " The Thing" from the “Fantastic Four”. film is low budget and that is reflected in the effects but film is lean at 58 mins and fast paced. nothing special but watchable.

You tempted me to view this one. Must have got to me a bit this one as was planning to watch two films tonight, but have this one on my mind still :stuck_out_tongue: . The main guy was an interesting character to watch.

I finally got around to watching Hobo With A Shotgun and was somewhat disappointed. Only somewhat, because I wasn’t expecting too much really. I just think it’s a bit overrated, I guess. Diverting, like Machete, but that’s about it.

Sinner - I’ve had this sitting there since it came out but never watched it. One of Franco’s better efforts, not a lot of story as expected but a good excuse for a nice bit of flesh and some good sounds. Is this any different that the old Go tape?

…or Wings Hauser.

Hey! Wings Hauser rules.
Hey! Wings Hauser rules.
Not for me he doesn’t.

There are four people I refuse to watch films if they are in, John Wayne, Wings Hauser, Hugh Grant and Russell “Cunting” Brand. ;D

Apart from John Wayne for the obvious reasons, a film with Hauser, Grant, and Russell Brand, would be your worst nightmare, in film terms that is. I already Imagine the title, Le’ts save Hugh, some sort of adventure movie spoof, with Hauser and Brand on a mission to save Grant (a British archeologist or something like that) from the the hands of some evil tribe somewhere in the African jungle, ;D directed by Robert Zemeckis in 3D ;D ;D

I haven’t seen a film with Grant or Hauser in ages, and don’t know who Russell Brand is.

It’s Christmas, so there’s always the chance that this movie about the weddings and the funeral pops up. I think there were four of them (films that is), and I’ve seen them all

But I tried to draw the attention to the review, written by your servant, not to Hugh Grant
