Never heard of this film and looks like an interesting one Topo.
I am one of those who has a nostalgia for David McCallum. Probably from his old British war films and of course the Man From Uncle as a kid. So him and Nicoletta Machiavelli in the same movie is a double winner in my book. What release of the film did you watch? and in what language?

In Italian Phil, with Italian subs :o (go figure, for the deaf) but by now i can capiche Italian pretty well. But thereâs an English version or I think there is, at least i guess the one they have in amazon co uk is in English I do hope so otherwise I will have to stick with the Italian one like my friend did
Last night I sat through The Violent Professionals, which didnât make much sense but was diverting. Today I managed to watch The Mack, which Iâve had sitting around for a while. It was pretty good actually.
Just finished watching a very good Hammer movie called Twins of Evil (I actually have the Koch German DVD Draculas Hexenjagd) Remastered picture looks great.
Too bad. Iâll keep an eye out for it on DVDr or download maybe.
Double Agent - North/South Korean spy movie, not bad at all but it seemed to start better than it finished.
Been on a kaiju kick again and have gotten around to revisiting two of my favorites:
Ghidorah: The Three-Headed Monster (1964)
Invasion of the Astro-Monster (1965)
I recently stumbled upon this awesome list on IMDB, and itâs provided me with plenty of ideas for stuff to watch:
I just watched The Principal, which was great. I really am a sucker for these kinds of eighties movies.

Starring Daniel Auteuil, Gérard Depardieu and Valeria Golino.
Vrinks (Auteuil) and Klein (Depardieu) are two high ranking police detectives in charge of different squads on the trail of a gang of crooks commiting violent robberies in Paris. The Chief of the police department tells them that he is moving on and giving up his post and whoever out of the pair of them stops the villains can take over his role in charge. It seems they will do anything to get the position.
Recommended.

Interesting list Surprised not to see 3 of my favorites on there: Sword and the Sorcerer , The Exterminator and Class of 1984
Yeah, itâs all over the place, but there are lots of interesting, obscure films on there. Iâve been going through, checking the synopses on IMDB for the unfamiliar ones, and generally they sound pretty cool.
Frenzy.
Love the black humour in this later Hitchcock one. It works not showing the murders after the first one. The London area shown with all the markets is like going back in time.

Have you seen them all?

My favourite Hitchcock I think.
And yes, the stuff shot around Covent Garden is a step back in time for me too. Especially as I remember drinking in that pub myself when it was still just like in the film. Difficult to imagine if you visit Covent Garden now what it was like back then when the market still existed.

Have you seen the trailer where Hitchcock is in a shop and asks to buy a tie, when asked what colour he replies, âIt doesnât matter, itâs for a friend you see, he murders women with themâ (or something like that).

Donât remember that one but recall one where he is in Covent Garden and a womanâs leg pops up from a sack of potatoes. ;D

Pretty cool film, the director Olivier Marchal (the right name indeed) was himself a police officer before he become an actor and director, so all his films have an reality feeling not so common in most police thrillers, I also recommend his next film MR 73 very much a update to our days from Giovanni and Melville classics.
I saw Itâs a Gift today. A simply devestating W. C. Fields comedy, with the most horrible, true-to-life family Iâve ever seen on film.
Had myself a little Bruce Dern fest. That weasely faced toothy grin of his should be available on prescription as far as Iâm concerned. Never fails to make me feel good just watching him.
Anyhow, started off with some Silent Running which Iâm pleased to report is as good as it has ever been. I was worried it might have aged badly but nothing of the sort. Still a perfect example of a great little story with a whopping great backdrop.
Finished up with a revisit to Into the Badlands which was a made for TV movie I think but none the worse for that and highly recommended if you like westerns and spooky stories combined. Does Bruce Dern have a star on Hollywood Boulevard? Thereâll be no justice till he does as far as Iâm concerned. 8)
Have you seen The Laughing Policeman Phil?
