After having seen most of the original spaghetti westerns, I am always on the look out for new films. I watched The Journeyman last night and thought this came close to a spaghetti western vibe. Top locations, wacky characters and interesting ideas. Anyone else seen this film, what are your thoughts, spaghetti or not?
It’s purely an American western. There’s no Italian input and therefore it’s not a Spaghetti Western. It has no European locations or input and so it’s not a Eurowestern.
It was a reasonable time-waster but nothing special and although Willie Nelson is credited he’s only on screen for 2 minutes.
But that’s just my view.

Haha, fair enough, point taken. It did have Assumpta Serna who is a Spanish actress but I suppose that puts it more under Paella so I have no defence. I will file it next to Barbarosa in my film library.
