One of the first American films to contain the ‘dreaded ‘F’ word’ … How their ears must have rang in the early 1970s … So, what was once shocking and ‘edgy’ and used for dramatic effect, is now so tedious and repeated to no effect, other than to suggest a lack of imagination and vocabulary from today’s writers, directors and actors.
