Lizard in a Woman’s Skin?
Not that one, @wobble
The film was adapted from a play of the same name. Two of the players had lead roles in a couple of very famous spaghetti westerns. The soundtrack contains the original source for the PDC darts anthem (played briefly in the background) but the main theme is one of the composer’s finest non-western scores…
Metti, una sera a cena (1969) … the ‘Darts’ clue threw me, but I of course know the Morricone music … and the famous pic of Florinda in ‘that’ dress I’ve never seen the movie,
Bravo, @aldo - worth a watch if you can find a decent print. Thankfully, Musante’s prediction at the end about China and nuclear armageddon didn’t come true The source of the darts anthem ‘Chase The Sun’ is below.
Back to you.
Thank you, Montero … it’s actually one of Ennio’s pieces I find really irritating and somewhat dated … I expect it works better in the context of the film, rather than as a standalone piece of musak !?
Here’s a late British ‘Kitchen sink drama’ which features many well known actors of the period and a young actress who would be at the centre of one of the most controversial films of the early 1970s … and another who would present a painting competition on UK TV
Spring and Port Wine
Well done, Phil … over to you.
Sorry folks, I can’t post anything at the moment.
Someone else please take my go.
Thanks for contributing, Montero … I’ll leave this open for some brave amigo to have a guess
The Man Who Killed Billy the Kid (1967)?
That’s the one, @Wobble - and a couple of decent Spanish TV prints, one with the rtve logo and one without.
Your turn.
The aspect ratio is a bit off with these TV prints, but they’re a massive improvement on what was previously available … plus they are the longer cut.
I think this was one of Warren Oates’ last films - ‘The Border’?
I think it’s, ‘John the Bastard’ ?
Correct of course, @aldo
Back to you.
