‘The Hallelujah Trail’ ? … that’s a wild guess of course
It’s not that one but this movie is comedic as well. The lead character is atypical of western heroes(not in screenshot).
Two clues:
-
The lead character has a distinction that sets him apart from all the other gunfighters in the west.
-
Cattle roping is not his game but he did replace a couple ropers in his day.
The Shakiest Gun in the West ?
That’s it.
Here are the Ropers that Don Knotts replaced:

The Taming of the Shrew
Exactly right … Liz Taylor’s baby blues must have given it away. Over to you El Topo
Thanks Aldo
But no, a bit more prosaic I’m afraid recognized a young Michael York
Ok let’s try this one
I doubt it, but Il boss (1973) possibly?
Nope not that one
A lot of familiar faces in this one
That fly/bee brooch seems awfully familiar for some reason…
Is it ‘Les Suspects’ (1974) ?
Yes Aldo that’s the one
Mickey the actress is Marie-Helene Breillat, sister of the director Catherine Breillat
Up to you Aldo
Possibly, it’s just that I think I’ve seen some film in which this kind of a brooch was one of the key elements, but I can’t remember what it was all about. Possibly some giallo or something, I can’t recall what it was exactly though, oh well. It’s like an itch you can’t scratch, I kind of like it though.
Maybe in the old Lui magazine
Now, now, El Topo, tsk tsk tsk…
