Good guess, but no.
Jesse & Lester - Due fratelli in un posto chiamato Trinità
Amazing, well done. Over to you, aldo.
That is Cast a Giant Shadow (1966), directed by Melville Shavelson. Senta Berger, who is now eighty-two and still my favorite Austrian actress, was at the height of her international career at the time. The first image shows Israeli actor Topol, who died in March this year. I remember him well in Sallah Shabati (1964), a comedy about the problems of immigration to Israel directed by satirist Ephraim Kishon; and of course he was also in Flash Gordon. Okay, enough early-morning chatter.
LOL …
That’s very good, Companero … very comprehensive !
Over to you again.
Thank you, aldo! Now for something easy to guess, two screenshots from a recent Western that unfortunately turned out to be quite disappointing, despite being made by an esteemed director.
‘Dead For a Dollar’ (2022)?
Yes, correct. Your go, Toscano.
Les yeux sans visage (Eyes Without a Face) ?
I love the Italian language…
‘Lonely Are The Brave’ (1962)?
Yes, exactly
Back to you, Toscano.
The Hands of Orlac / Orlacs Hände?
Thank you, Toscano!
Local Trivia
The Hands of Orlac was filmed a hundred years ago in Vienna. A decade later, everything went down the drain … Director Robert Wiene, whose most famous film is of course The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari (1920), emigrated in 1934 and died four years later in Paris. The building that housed the Listo Film studios, where The Hands of Orlac was made, is located about ten minutes by bike from my flat.
Two new screenshots, maybe a tough nut to crack …
I really have no idea about this one, so a wild guess from me, is … Romulus and the Sabines (1961)
