The Great Chihuahua Treasure Hunt / Monta in sella, figlio di …! (Tonino Ricci, 1972)

Those screenshots are in the wrong AR. They give the impression of 1.78:1, but it’s the English fullscreen VHS everyone has. Just like Italo-West-Fan said himself  Picture looks clearer, but that is indeed a matter of tuning the TV settings.

Here’s a comparison between the American and the Spanish tape.

it’s time this movie to take life

The Spanish VHS looks so great !!
The Film need a good Release
Maybe a Fandub

I have a Spanish VHS to DVDR transfer of this one. I’ve remasterd the video with neatvideo filter. Removed any interlacing, and enhanced the video for better quality. If nobody has fandubbed this one yet, i’m all geard up to go go.

very very good trasfer!!!

it has lot of action??

My third Ricci film watched in as many days and this, thankfully, was a huge improvement on the other two. (Not a difficult task to be fair) A light hearted but entertaining caper flick which suits Damon’s style and screen persona perfectly. The music is all recycled I believe but fits the piece well enough and I found myself enjoying the whole thing very well. This could also be because it is one of the few westerns that properly utilised the lovely Rosalba Neri, giving a full lead role instead of a few minutes cameo. I do have a major soft spot for Rosalba and she looks terrific here but she also gets the chance to act a bit and that is always a welcome change.
Definitely worthy of a proper release.

Yes, enjoyed the whole thing as well… Rosalba Neri is so good, and the action scenes are well done … by the end of it you feel like you’ve been through everything with the characters, it has that epic feeling.

Top of my list for 70’s Spaghetti westerns that deserve a decent english friendly dvd release.
