Castellari’s best western movies. There is a real visual virtuosity, great action, and a sense of loss in both. Good stuff from a pulp filmmaker.
(2) Kill Them All And Come Back Alone
Solid action film with good set pieces. Similar (probably intentionally) to The Professionals.
(3) Any Gun Can Play
Best of his comic westerns. It was a big hit, has a great score, and a fun cast.
(4) 7 Winchesters For Massacre
His first western is enjoyable with a good score and cast.
Haven’t seen Johnathan of the Bears yet. I Came, I Saw, I Shot is an over-long Any Gun Can Play retread. Cipolla Colt is my choice for the absolute worst SW.
