UK Indicator Blu Ray of the Italian version has the song in English over both opening and closing credits consistent with other releases above.
Indicator, as I posted above
Oh yes - sorry
After a rewatch I think TBG should get back in my top 20. Most of it is very well done, only that I still think that grotesque ranch scene feels pretty wrong, and brings the film narratively in some trouble.
Otherwise I enjoyed it very much. Good man Sollima ā¦
Absolutely well made. The ranch scene is totally unique and fits very well in its own special way. Canāt call it grotesque, itās more like a statement .
Absurd or odd do the job as well ⦠![]()
True. The ranch scene is why I ranked it below āRun, Man, Runā in my Top 20. It could have been skipped entirely, if they had set up the scene with the mormon girl to somehow lead to the watering hole scene, which would have kept the pacing tighter since the film is basically revolving around the chase. I think scenes omitted from the intl. cut were much more worthy of keeping (but I guess they were easier to cut without creating plot holes than the ranch scene, as some of the dialogue at the water hole scene revolve around the events at the ranch).
Yep, the scene could easily have been cut out.
They could have changed in the dubbing stage a few lines of the dialogue for the waterhole scene. Thatās at least much better than to cut anything else out.
With the ranch scene the film stays imo too long away from the main plot.
Run Man Run and TBG are on the same level.
This will always be a top 10 spaghetti for me and, as always, the music has a lot to do with it.
I saw it in the cinema at Venice almost 20 years ago now and Morriconeās score during the hunt scene sent shivers up my spine that I can feel to this day every time I watch it
The Big Gundown probably has a slightly better soundtrack (although the soundtrack for Run Man Run is also brilliant), but I think RMR has much better pacing - the scenes tie into each other much more fluently. Both are great films (theyāre both in my top 10).
I would prefer ābizarreā as a perfect paraphrase. ![]()
Ok. accepted ā¦
Can we do a dedicated credits page with pictures for this fine movie next?
