The Big Gundown: John Zorn Plays the Music of Ennio Morricone

I have John Zorn’s Mickey Spillane album, and it’s a blast (though not for everyone; this is punk-infused jazz, with chaotic turns and loud sounds, lol). Here he takes his Avant-Garde approach to the works of another Avant-Garde master. Lots of guest musicians, including the great Mike Patton (of the wonderful Italian Pop Band, Mondo Cane).

I’ve got a cd of this, it’s facinating for some reason, and some of it is downright strange!
