I voted for “Dead Men Don’t Make Shadows.” That ones definitely my fav, although, I like everything else too… I find it interesting that many people state Demofilo Fidani’s films are the worst of the worst, yet it seems most people like and enjoy them…
i think they’re the worst only in grading the film on how it was put together/edited/made… the lowest of the low in production values for the most part… however, i’m very impressed with how entertaining the films are… Fidani did a lot with very little, in my view
My favorite thing in any film genre is when someone does something interesting with a small budget. Fidani seems to fit this very well in my opinion.
Is it because Fidani fills his films with action that he is looked upon favourably or that his films are laughably bad in their production and overall features no matter how entertaining?
I’ve only seen a couple of Fidani’s films so far, but i haven’t found them to be in the ‘so bad they’re good’ category. As autephex said ‘Fidani did a lot with very little’. I agree in spades.
In addition to the twelve films included in the Poll (one of which - Il suo nome era Pot… ma… lo chiamavano Allegria - was completed by Fidani but partially directed by Lucio Giachin) Fidani’s SW filmography as a Director includes the comedy Amico mio… frega tu che frego io/Anything for a Friend and maybe Prega Dio… e scavati la fossa!/Pray to God and Dig Your Grave, as everybody knows a direction of uncertain attribution.
Up to now I’ve seen eleven of his SWs:

I think I’ve seen all of those 8, but I do get confused about which is which.
Dead Men Don’t Make Shadows is easily the best. I think it’s quite marvellous in fact. My review for those that missed it… you need to see this one!

Quoting myself (below) from the “Talk Anything” thread because I would have posted it here if I realized this was the original topic. If this scene is indeed exclusive to The Ballad of Django / Giù le mani… Carogna, then I’d really like to know if anyone has or knows of a decent looking version. The one I have is widescreen with hardsubs and the quality is very poor. Would be a nice one to upgrade.

Just checked - mine. Probably the same as yours, but I wouldn’t say “very poor” as compared to some I have. Anyway - exactly the same version as the youtube clip is what I got. Same subs and same 9 bullets in his gun. ;D
