And sorry to hark back to my brother dying recently.
Struggling a wee bit today, because memories keep intruding.
Good memories, all.
Just thinking of the loss that both I and closer others are going through.
Friends of mine going through bereavement also. XX
This brings back happy memories of when, just before he got married, he was celebrating his 21st birthday, and assured me that everything would be okay. when I attended ‘Secondary School’.
I won’t go in to details. I MISS him.
I remember getting out my ‘GBU’ vinyl record - so many years ago - and playing the main theme. He said to his future wife, “You have to hear this!!” She didn’t think it was that good…
Not sure if he really knew that i respected him so very much…and always will
At Robin’s (my late bro) 21 Birthday party - when we had had nothing but the Hits of the day on the record player all night: He let me play my Western Hits album (He knew I’d seen ‘The GBU’ on Tv, in 1976, and fallen in love with it) …
I’ve never forgotten him for playing the ‘GBU’ (best version I had at the time) 'Western Themes., just to please a younger bro.
There is nothing to apologize for at all. I frankly think it is an honor that you would choose to share your wonderful memories of your brother with us.
It’s all good mate I totally understand, like I say I know what you’re going through and I know exactly how hard it is. It does feel much better to share any thoughts you have with other people.
You maudlin all you want to amigo, sometimes that’s what you need to do to, it helps with the coping process. We all go through it at some point, and you’ll always have people who’ll listen and help you as best they can. Holidays are often the hardest at first cause they bring back so many memories, but in time the joys come back, and while there will still be some moments a tear is shed, the good things overwhelm the bad and sad.
Does anyone have a really good yet more obscure SW to recommend? I’m in the mood for some spaghetti, but nothing comes to mind as far as movies I’ve wanted to see, but haven’t yet.
Lol. I know what you mean. I’ve only been watching SW’s for the past 7 years. Probably not nearly as long as you have. And I sometimes think I’ve seen all of the ones worth watching.
Here’s a few slightly lesser know ones I enjoy: Sette Dollari sul Rosso (Seven Dollars on the Red), Gentleman Jo… Uccidi (Gentleman Killer), Per il Gusto di Uccidere (Taste of Killing), Oggi a Me…Domani e Te! (Today We Kill, Tomorrow We Die),Dio Non Paga il Sabato (Kill the Wickeds!), Lo Voglio Morto (I Want Him Dead), Una Bara per lo Sceriffo (A Coffin for the Sheriff), Un Dollaro Tra i Denti (A Stranger in Town).
