SWDb Spaghetti Western Hall of Fame

So I’ve added all the bios to the page but I need help with linking the words to the pages in the database. I also don’t know how to upload the wanted posters.

If you need help, I’ll upload them on the database. All you have to do is just upload wanted poster on imageshack and PM me, I’ll do the rest.

Thanks alot Mickey. I have created a bunch of wanted posters. But they don’t look as good as the ones that dicfish created. Anybody know which program/generator he used?

I’ll send him a message on facebook to contact you

Note:

I sent him a message, but I saw his last activity on facebook was on July 8, so maybe he’s on holiday

Thanks Scherp. Yeah I have him on FB too.

Voting for the 2013 Inductees will start soon!

We need nominees. Here are the rules for nominating:

Everybody votes for 3 nominees, but not more than two in the same category. For example, you can’t vote for Frank Brana, Jose Calvo and Jose Bodalo since they are all supporting actors. I think this way we will avoid having a disproportionate amount of inductees from a single category. The top 5 vote getters regardless of category get inducted.

The categories are leading actors, supporting actors, actresses, directors, composers, producers, cinematographers, writers, non-participants/miscellaneous crew

Please make sure to nominate only those who haven’t been inducted yet. Check this page below to make sure:

http://www.spaghetti-western.net/index.php/SWDB_Hall_of_Fame

Please follow the rules. This is not the voting stage, this is the nominating stage. When we have enough nominees, voting will commence.

You have until november 16th to submit your nominations. Don’t nominate someone who’s already been nominated.

Felice De Stefano…Composer.

Pedro Sanchez…Supporting actor.

Demofilo Fidani…Director.

Are we doing 3 nominees each this year? Last year it was only one.

Well, if it’s 3 then these are mine:

  1. Joaquín Luis Romero Marchent - Director

A glaring omission in my books from previous years. Scherps’ obituary entry here should illustrate all the reasons why Senor Merchant deserves his place alongside the greats.

http://www.spaghetti-western.net/index.php/In_memoriam:_Joaquín_Luis_Romero_Marchent

  1. Horst Frank - Supporting Actor

The quintessential aryan bad guy in so many Spaghettis and another one who was involved from the earliest to the latest days of the filone.

  1. Bud Spencer - Lead Actor

Possibly tarnished by too many of the ‘comedy’ westerns he became associated with but still an iconic face of the genre. If Terence Hill is in (and he is) then Bud should be too.

All three seconded

Director - Michele Lupo

Lead - Bud Spencer

Support - Jose Calvo

director: Giuseppe Vari
composer: De Angelis brothers
Misc. crew: Lardani

Lead Actor: Peter Lee Lawrence - was going to say Jeff Cameron(Goffredo Scarciofolo) but I guess PLL is probably more notable

Supporting Actor: Joseph Egger - I think he’s in many spaghetties, but cannot be sure if its always him as having a hard time seeing his name listed in any credits.

He starred in more than seventy films, including many western movies and the first two films in the trilogy of the dollar of Sergio Leone : A Fistful of dollars (in the role of Piripero) and For a Few Dollars More (in the role of the old prophet.)

The character played by Joseph Egger is called the “old man of the Far West,” a comic character who participates as a spectator amazed at the exploits of gunmen on duty. Memorable his performances, always able to tear a smile, in the Italian versions thanks to the excellent dubbing of Lauro Gazzolo that seeks and obtains the effect of recalling the speech of an old man with no teeth.

So many of his appearances to make his presence almost obvious, the image we have of him is always the same and that only the cinema can happen in our imagination this person is eternally old, inevitable character of the best films of the Western genre .

Nice nomination

Likewise to your Fidani nomination, beat me to it

George Martin Lead Actor

Gilbert Roland Supporting Actor

Alfonso Balcazar Director

BUD SPENCER >:(

Director: Giuseppe Vari

Supporting actor: Gilbert Roland

Composer: Roberto Predagio

Just a reminder to all of you, if someone has already been nominated, you do not need to nominate him again! He’s already on the ballot.

Vincenzo Musolino Director, Producer, Supporting Actor

Franco Pesce Supporting Actor

Cesare Canevari Director

I’d like to nominate Frank Braña as supporting actor again. I think it’d be a nice homage since he passed away this year. A guy who’s been in around 60 euro/spaghetti westerns (including many of the biggest classics like all the entries of the Dollar Trilogy, OUATITW, La Resa Dei Conti, Faccia a Faccia) should have his place in the HoF
