Yes, it manages not to be preachy (of course, this could be partially because it’s not that political to begin with) but it also makes me glad they chose not to kill Pecos off, since it would not only be less “commercial”, it would have made absolutely no sense whatsoever as the character was meant to show it’s possible to stand up to oppressors.
