Yeah you have to compete with Tarantino buying them all up
But then you have to change all the reels yourself. IsnĀ“t it tiring? Or is it fun?
Almost festing time!
Itās fun and tiring Iād say Mr Tarantino has someone to do that for him ā¦ ?
I would certainly think. Funny story with a time when they actually were still playing movies running off projectors in the theaters. It was during Kill Bill Vol. 2. The scene where Beatrice gets the coffin slammed on her and the screen goes black for about 5 secondsā¦well it went black for 20 minutes during my viewing in 04āā¦I guess it was a reel change that got botched but the timing was uncanny. At first I was like okay Tarantino is stretching this total darkness thing a little long but after about a minute I was like okay somethings just messed up. Remember getting refunded on the way out for the 20 minute delay.
Forgive meā¦when I first read that, I could have sworn that it said āAlmost fisting time!ā
LVC is after a wrong man if he wants to catch Cuchillo, thatās Tepepa on the poster.
heāll catch them all, heās John Corbett, doesnāt matter to him how big your revolutionary credentials are
Well, it is apparent that Chuchillo and Tepepa are twin brothers so maybe the authorities got confused and put the wrong twin on the poster.
yep i know its tepepa, i needed a smiling pic of tomas
Let the games commence!
10.000 dollari per un massacro - The Spaghetti Western Database (spaghetti-western.net)
I kicked things off with $10,000 Blood Money from the Blood Money box set. I absolutely love the off beat in spaghetti westerns and the beginning of this one fits that bill to a āTā. Garko is as cool as the other side of the pillow (as usual) and Claudio Camaso proves that some actors are just at their best when they are playing villains. The film, while slow at times, does deliver a satisfying and memorable experience on the whole. After only having seen this one on an old DVD, watching the impressive (in contrast) Arrow release is almost like seeing the movie for the first time all over again.
One other thought. I donāt believe that Loredana Nusciak gets the respect for her contributions to the genre that she deserves. But, thatās just me.
Hi. This is gonna be my second time particiating in
Spagvemberfest. Watched a lots during 2021 lockdown but
unable to do so last year. Will try to watch a few titles
this month. Cheers everyone!
Spagvemberfest Day 1: Payment in Blood (Castellari):
Entertaining little infiltration adventure with great soundtrack, lots of fisticuffs and decent storytelling. Weāve seen the story of the agent infiltrating a gang before, but here itās a fine balance between action, suspense and some light-hearted moments. All in all, I enjoyed re-watching this and wished someone would release a proper restoration of it on BluRay.
'Come on everybody,
clap your hands,
down a swig of red-eye, and load your six-shooters.ā
'Come on, letās fest again, like we did last Fall,
Yeah, letās fest again, like we did last yearā¦ā
Not sure how many SWās Iāll get to see in the next month, but tonight Iām going to watch 'They Call Me Trinityāā¦
Starting off the season with some Terence Hill and Bud Spencer lighthearted frolics seems appropriate after Halloween Octoberās blood and gore ā¦
I donāt want know where to start this spagvemberfest. Anyone have a recommendation for 10 films? A theme or a direction for choosing films?
My Film #1: Donāt Wait Djangoā¦Shoot! a First time watch

once i get into the month more ill prob write some comments here and there.
Here we go again:
- Baldi: Texas, adios
-Apparently I saw this last time during spagvember 2015. I had upgraded to bluray since and I checked that out. This has never been a big favorite and I donāt know if it was because I havenāt watched many swās recently but I found this film rather campy at times. Like Franco Nero unloading his revolver on a guy and then says to him āletās goā. Or the great line of dialogue as his brother has just killed a man for the first time. āThat was your first time? -Youāll get used to itā. 6/10
No chance of watching 30.
But did start with my first today - Adios Gringo (1965) which will be watched in tranches.
Grinders No. 1:
I have started with a pre-Leone Western.
TRES HOMBRES BUENOS
Tres hombres buenos - The Spaghetti Western Database (spaghetti-western.net)
Starting very melodramtic this nice little movie turns to a straight revenge story.
There are lot of many well known actors/faces:
Fernando Sancho, Claudio Undari, Guiseppe Addobbati, Raf Baldassare and in the main roles Paul Piaget and Geofrrey Horne.
From the style for sure not yet a ārealā Spaghetti Western, but we see the later famous location Hoyo de Manzanares in winter times with a lot of mud and snow outside the town.
After the credits where we see three characters riding through the snow without seeing their faces in close ups the movie is told via flashback. This comes clear at the end of the movie where the three leave town. Woluld have been perfect for a sequel anyway but that never happened.
There are some really cool scenes like two duels in the cellar and fun scenes with Sancho and Piaget as ādearest enemiesā.
The German DVD/ BD unforunately is based on Italien cut master that is missing one minute material (threes scenes).
So, some friends and me included the cuts in DIY style from 35mm copy and VHS getting an uncut version with 86:54 (25 fps) Minutes cinema runtime.
Missing scenes are:
Geoffrey Horne beating on dead Aldo Sambrell (this scene is only in German 35mm copy)
Extended scene with gravedigger
Extended scenes in second duel in the cellar.
I have watched the cool German dub from 1964
