Great list. The fact is this list would not be necessary if Netflix had better categories and sorting tools – but they don’t, and it is.

It’s really nice to have a link to SD right there too, which they would never have on Netflix. Hopefully they will get more spaghetti westerns online, because having these films on instant view can really open up the genre to a new audience. Watching Django on Netflix instant view some time ago and being blown away is what got me hooked on spaghetti westerns in the first place.

@Hoover Valentine: It looks like The Hellbenders is not instant streaming at the moment, but they do have it on DVD.

@Cat Stevens: I believe Pancho Villa is another Eurowestern the could be added.

The problem is, it’s not. For me, there are twice as many movies listed in the sub-category “Classic Westerns,” than in the big westerns category: http://movies.netflix.com/WiGenre?vt=tl&sgid=640

Some movies are listed in only one place, some are listed in both. I believe I ran across a movie or two that were only listed in the “Italian” section, and not as westerns.

This is the problem making a list, the Hellbenders was on instant viewing now its not so just imagine how good the information on this thread will be in say one month

It is true that the list would need to be updated – maybe a few times a month, at most – but it could be done. It would be less futile than, say, resisting the borg would be. :slight_smile:

What would be a better list would be the spaghetti discs you can get through the mail. And the companies that released them.

That tells me what out there, I know that. I just wonder what netflix has. (example) say I rent Sartana pray for your death, will I get a Pop Flix or a WE. I know I won’t get a we but… you should see my point. Or Adios Texas Blue Underground or Anchor Bay

That list would be more useful and easier to to keep up, but netflix will be all instant viewing in 4-5 years so…

ok, if you rent the Great Silence, netflix sends you a disc by Fantomas or something like that. It looks real good. Great quality, movie seems to be in anamorphic. If you rent Samurai( aka the white, the yellow, the black) you get a shitty full frame version by some canadain company.

I had hoped that there would be a secondary list of this sort. I don’t (yet) pay for the disc option.

Well, there are not really a lot of SWs on Netlix, but there are some.
