Camerata Nuova is a small town near Rome on the border with Abruzzo. In its territory it boasts the Camposecco plateau which was one of the most important Italian locations for Spaghetti Westerns. In recent years with the rediscovery of the genre Camerata Nuova has become a small hub for events and gatherings of personalities linked to SW cinema. Vincenzo Pelosi has contributed above all who, over the decades following the golden age of films shot in Camposecco, for years has hosted Franco Nero, Remo Capitani and other protagonists in his bar, preserving the historical memory and cultivating ties that then led to the creation of the annual event Trinità Days, which I will tell you about in this topic.

Just today I have been in town for the awarding of honorary citizenship to Franco Nero which had been decided by the municipal council in June of this year. In Camposecco Franco Nero shot some scenes of Keoma by Enzo G. Castellari.
Thank to my friendship and collaboration with Vincenzo Pelosi I’ve been able to join the local authorities for a lunch, in Riofreddo near Camerata, with Nero. He was kind enough to sign my copy of the book Django e gli altri. Molte storie, una vita I just started reading.
He also drew a cowboy…
(For Alessandro, warm greetings and HAPPY READING, Franco Nero)
I’ve recorded the event and shoot some photos using my friend’s camera. I’ll share photos of the cerimony as soon as I receive them, and report Nero’s words.
Nice. Let us know what the book i like when you’ve finished reading it.
