Souvlaki Western

Well, there are American, Italian, Turkish, Spanish, French, Italian-Spanish, Turkish-Italian, French-Italian, Spanish-American… and there are also Greek ones.

Yes, just watched Bullets don’t come back and it’s a damn good film. Not exactly a real western, it’s set in Greece but with just little bit of different dubbing and name changes you wouldn’t probably notice it. Anyway, it’s very spaghetti like film with horses, bandits, gunfights etc.

Director Foskolos also made another western Love and Blood.

Are any of these actual Westerns set in the U.S or Mexico by the way?

No Mercy for the Hunted is set in Texas. But other Greek westerns seem to be “greeksterns”. Hehe, I like that term.
