Well, i strongly disagree with Shobary in a few films he’s bashing, but most of the time i agree with him…I always use his site as a reference for the SWs i haven’t seen…

Well, there are more people on the forum with more varied opinions… so it evens out :slight_smile: I’m not saying Shobary’s site is bad, it’s great! I just don’t agree with his personal reviews.

Btw, there is a poll up on his site for user input on the reviewing structure.

Yup, i voted to keep it as is. It’s a fun site, even though i disagree on some of his lower ranked SW’s (pretty sure there isn’t anyone i’d agree on every title).

So did I. Even though I don’t exactly agree with his method and many of his ratings, I still like it the way it is

I voted for keep it as it is too. It’s good to know about the music, directing, acting, locations, story but I never understood why gunplay is so important.

I find all of his categories are important but I think they should be weighted differently. His formula of adding the ratings up to an average like he does doesn’t produce a satisfactory result in my mind. For example a really shitty movie with piss poor acting and story can still be rated good because its got great locations and music and lots of gunplay.

Shobary has a new review of a personal favorite of mine that is quickly becoming one of my favorite Spaghetti Westerns of all time, Night of the Serpent. The movie is quite a tear jerker. I want to cry right now!

I really like his site .
It was the first place I was ever able to put a name to a face in the actors section.
Plus there is a wealth of info there about many things.
I haven’t even read his reviews, I just go there for information.
