While not a spaghetti western (it’s set in Andalucía in the early 19th century) it did reunite the two stars of ‘Blood at Sundown’ (‘1000 dollari sul nero’) - Anthony Steffen and Gianni Garko. Shot in 1974 but released in 1977, by all accounts it faced serious distribution problems and seems to have disappeared after it flopped at the Spanish box office.
Has anybody seen the film? There’s this tantalising U.S. trailer…

I’ve not had the pleasure … but it’s always interesting when these ‘lost’ films semi emerge … How many holy grail flicks does that make in the SW genre?

Do I detect a link between trailer and commercial failure?

The track record of writer/director/producer José Luis Madrid doesn’t inspire much confidence A spy film (‘Somebody’s Stolen Our Russian Spy’) sat on a laboratory shelf for a decade and the westerns he made (including one in b/w) were all duds. Although, initially at least, ‘Seven Jackals’ had higher expectations and was originally intended to star Franco Nero in the lead role.
