THE ONLY CONTINUOUS SPAGHETTI WESTERN FILM SERIES IN THE U.S.A.!
Well…I live in Weston Super Mare, UK…so I may have to get an early bus to this one…
Seriously though, I envy anyone who can attend the viewing…I hope you enjoy this beautiful SW classic on the big screen.
Failing that, I’ll mark the date and time on my calendar, and have a private viewing of ‘Django’ on my TV, accompanied by Manchego cheese, green olives, garlic bread, and a few bottles of San Miguel lager…
I hope it goes well for all the amigos and senoritas/senoras who attend…

For any UK based fans, the Lumiere Cinema in Romford is having an all day Mystery Spaghetti Western screening this Saturday 2nd August.
5 films as yet unknown shown back to back all day.
So, I went along to this.
A 12 hour marathon but well worth it.
Four of the Apocalypse (First time I’d seen it in cinema)
Once Upon a Time in the West
Django
My Name is Nobody (also first time I’d seen in cinema)
The Good, the Bad & the Ugly
I’d say there were about 10 of us who stayed the whole day and a few more who came and went after one or two films. Really good prints and on a genuinely big screen too, not one of those 100 seat small multiplex rooms. A really great experience.
If you live anywhere near Romford in the UK go give the Lumiere a try. The old multiplex went out of business and these guys have taken it on and set it up as a registered charity as a community resource. They have 4 screens allocated for new films and the other 3 have classic screenings and events. Ticket prices are cheap (£4 for members) and it’s run by enthusiasts. It’s like a Prince Charles in the suburbs. It was a 40 minute drive for me to get there but well worth the trip and great value. Ticket for the whole day just £11!
