RIP Peter Yates

Just read that English director Peter Yates died today at the age of 81.

He surely left some good films behind.

A time to rewatch The Friends of Eddie Coyle

RIP

The Friends Of Eddie Coyle is a favourite of mine…yes R.I.P

Some great films indeed. And very wide in type too. Summer Holiday, The Dresser and Bullitt. Can’t think of three more varied films to come from one director. Always enjoyed Breaking Away too, which was different again. Quite a talent and a sad loss.
R.I.P

Strange enough I was talking to a friend over the weekend about how I’ve never seen this and was thinking of checking out the Criterion disc.

I just ordered this last week, on impulse. Strange.

The director of Bulitt truely deserves an R.I.P. :’(.
