First Nations actor Jimmy Herman died September 13, 2013. He was 72. Herman appeared in several films, including “Dances with Wolves” among others. He was born on the Cold Lake Reserve in Alberta, Canada. His tribal descents are Dene and Chipewyan. Jimmy appeared in seven Euro-westerns: “Phantom Town” (1997), “Gunslinger’s Revenge” and “Winnetou’s Ruckkehr (TV) (both 1998), “The Claim” (1999) , “Grey Owl” (2000), ‘Johnson County War’ (TV) (2002), DreamKeeper (TV) 2003.
