Evaristo Márquez who appeared with Marlon Brando in "Quemada" died of cardiac arrest in Cartagena, Columbia. He was 73. Born in Palenque, Columbia of African decent his famly were farmers. Before his involvement with Pontecorvo he was a herdsman and he was illiterate. Márquez appeared in three more movies during the 1970s including his only Euro-western “Lucky Johnny: Born in America (aka Dead Aim) (1975). With the decline of his film career, Márquez returned to work as a herdsman. Marquez also appeard in the Euro-western "Lucky Johnny: Born in America" (aka Dead Aim) (1975).
