Italian composer Benedetto Ghiglia died in Rome on July 4th at 89. Ghiglia composed scores for “Adios Gringo”, “A Stranger in Town”, “El Rojo” and two Robert Woods westerns “$4.00 of Revenge” and “Starblack” (aka Johnny Colt).
R.I.P…the score to A Stranger In Town is my favourite western score of his. Simple but effective.
My favourite one as well, adds a lot to the atmosphere of the film.
