…I only saw the beginning part of this Western… I’m not sure if it is considered spaghetti or not.
Anyway: the film starts off with, at some point near the beginning; a reverend preacher from the East somewhere (OH, VG, or WV as i recall) , is there on a Sunday , preaching in a little church. Afterwards ,He catches a slave driver kind of guy, beating prisoners who can barely walk from being tired, and confronts the “man” about it, and ends up getting clubbed in the head (as the evil man rode off with the prisoners)…and then rather quickly gets back up after “coming to” -maybe with some help from bystanders- and ends up being more or less “unharmed”. … Then some time later , He goes to the bar and finds a prostitute who He befriends (on tense “socio-political” grounds, surrounding her current position and occupation with those who own the bar.) …
…Then after some smooth talking or whatever, She agrees to move in with Him, and his [right hand maid/assistant lady] (a rather “big-boned” lady She was); to become educated, and lead “a more productive/fulfilling life”.
Not long after, the evil guy at the bar who owns it, comes back and takes Her away, and forges a note so the Reverend would think that She just left, (that way He wouldn’t come looking for her or whatever.) So He goes to the bar, and forces a confession out of Her, that it was actually THE EVIL BAR GUY, who wrote the note. Then the Reverend and the bar owner (who wrote the note), get into a violent squabble… … (TA DAAA!) ; the Reverend wins the fight; but then that very next Sunday at church, in front of the congregation, resigns of His post “behind the pulpit”; because He did not turn the other cheek when the bar owner guy punched Him, (stating that; if He is not able to follow the law of God, He should not be leading a congregation.)
… Then it comes to a scene of him getting ready to leave and everything, and people naturally trying to convince Him to stay (cuz they all really like Him.) …
And then that’s where I had to leave. …please help meh!
PS: This film really kind of stuck a nerve with me. I would really love to see what happens with the rest of it…classic simple tales. The Goody, old-school Entertainment, of “”. Viva la “Lost & Found section”!!Help me out if You can, ~PLEEEEEASE!
