Piper Laurie died yesterday. She was 91 years old. In her long career, she starred in only two Westerns, three, if The Mississippi Gambler qualifies as a Western.
From The Hustler to Twin Peaks, she was always a pleasure to watch.

Rest in peace to American actor Ryan OâNeal who passed away yesterday. Very talented actor, my personal favorite role of his was Barry Lyndon.
Yes, sad, sad. I havenât seen many movies with Ryan OâNeal, only five, Wild Rovers, Whatâs Up, Doc?, Barry Lyndon, A Bridge Too Far, and The Driver. I love him in Whatâs Up, Doc? and think heâs fantastic in Barry Lyndon, whose title character he simply is (despite the obvious accent problems). However, I still havenât been able to bring myself to watch two of his most famous films, Love Story and Paper Moon.
Yeah, Paper Moon is fabulous. Not to be missed.
