This weekend I went to the city of Görlitz (where the battle in “Stolz der Nation” from Inglourious Basterds was filmed) and took a few pictures. Just now getting back to my apartment I saw Daniel Brühl (I often do, he lives in the neighborhood). Tarantino week here

The Tarantino Archives’ forums are now a thing of the past. Next step will be to reintegrate the wiki content into the main website for consolidation. The work is progressing (albeit slowly). Should take a few years - until Q releases a new movie LOL

Tarantino makes a list. I get it, such lists are highly subjective. But how can this guy be so petty? It’s cringe to blatantly refuse to put filmmakers on it who are way better than he will ever be, yet he manages to sneak in his talentless buddy Eli Roth. Laughable.

Saw The Whole Bloody Affair on 70mm this Saturday. That was a bloody revelation… Working on some sort of review now. In the meantime:

It’s my favorite Tarantino as well, so hopefully this Bloody Affair will land some day in Turnhout, Belgium. I guess the local theatres here are not up to the scratch, so maybe Eindhoven would be a better landing place 
I just checked: there’s no such theatre in Eindhoven, but there is one in Tilburg (same distance to Turnhout)

It’s got a couple of screenings at the Prince Charles in London but only in 35mm. Which is odd, as the PC definitely has 70mm capability

I think the UK window is already over, I assume there are only a few 70MM copies and these travel around the globe now, they don’t stay

I just re-watched the first half of Death Proof. As always every QT gets better with every viewing, and this one is also pure fascination. QT is an incredible imaginative director.
(still shocking that his 2 westerns are his least films … )

I thought Django Unchained was quite allright. No match for Kill Bill (my favorite QT) though. The Hateful Eight was a misfire. Once upon a Time… in Hollywood was grade A Tarantino, probably my favorite after Kill Bill. I like Death proof as well (liked it even the first time I watched it).
Death Proof is definitely underrated. I think people were expecting more from it, but every movie doesn’t need to be an epic or some complex non-linear story.

Also, Kill Bill The Whole Bloody Affair moved me to tears, the 70mm presentation did a whole number on me
