Scanned some today… (Don’t know why this board resizes them)

Always like seeing the old tape covers, as reminds me when I was young. The days when I was taking VCR machines apart when the tape managed to get all chewed up everywhere in the machine.

Been after that Lynching cover for a while though, so thanks for that.

What does “Revolvermannen och främlingen” mean?

I guess it means ‘Gunman and stranger’, but I’m no expert on Swedish.

Could be, främlingen=Fremdling.
Anyway, what a creepy sketch of LvC on that Cover. I like it

Hehe, a horrible cover in my opinion. But funny nonetheless as on the back the picture whereupon the drawing is based is featured.

But it’s good to know: whatever goes wrong in our future, because even we can become well paid cover designers.
Isn’t the whole title “And They Smelled the Strange, Exciting, Dangerous Scent of Dollars”?
“And they smelled the strange” sounds quite… strange?

Hehe, who understands those Greeks anyway? I agree with you, it sounds more like a movie about nasal fetish or something, than a spaghetti western.
The Greek title translates to “The Dangerous Scent of Dollars”, the “And they smelled the strange, exciting” part was never translated, probably they were too lazy to do so.

Yes främlingen means the stranger

Revolvermannen means the revolverman or the gunman

Got the very same release with the same front cover only in Danish. The back of the cover is layouted differently though with a couple of other photos.
The artwork on the front of this cover comes from the original poster for the Richard Harrison film EL ROJO. And it has also been used to sell VENGEANCE.
Heh heh!

You might expect this sort of thing from small companies with limited means, but MGM/UA use the wrong stills to promote their SW’s all the time.
On the new US version of FOR A FEW DOLLARS MORE–they use a still from some unknown American Western in the middle of the booklet!
The tree at that picture is the tree where the banker in Shotgun gets hanged minus the banker…

Ancient Danish release of Arriva Sabata:

Veeery rare on Danish video. Actually the only known copy. If anyone else out there has it please give a holler.

The Finnish one, at the bottom of the pic.
Pic from a user, Walther, at cinehound:

Ah yes, the Scandinavian releases are probably more or less identical. Thanks for the pic.

The Swedish one ;D
