Obscure westerns not available in english

O.K Heres a rare one “REBELS IN CANADA” - (Amando de Ossorio) 60s film, i’ve put down the Eng. translation i think the original title is “REBELDES EN CANADA”, its set in a snowy location, and has some horror elements (apparently…) Just after i wrote this, checked search and a guy had it on his dvd list, dont know if its in English, if it is sorry…

There must be an english Version. After my Taste of violence Version are (I think around) 20 minutes (only) of that film, Fullscren and with english audio
Has it anyone complete ? I’m also looking for that film !

Tom B just posted on the old Spaghetti Western Web Board about a western John Garko starred under the alias Chet Bakon…the film is Ciudad Maldito.

Wow thanks. I didn’t even know such a film existed. This might just be the most rare western Garko’s ever been in. Are you sure its really him? It doesn’t really look like him. Why would he have to go by the name of Chet Bacon when he was already quite famous under his real name? 1978, this qualifies as a twilight SW. The english name is pretty cool too, “The Crimson Night of the Hawk”.

Gianni Garko isn’t in that film ! :’(

Yeah thats what I thought. IMDB wrong again.

Yes no Garko for sure now, Tom B confirmed aswell on the Spagheti Web Board.

There are fansubbed versions of Djurado and 7 Guns for Timothy floating around on the net. I have seen Hey Amigo! A Toast to Your Death and I thought it was dubbed into English, but I would have to double check my copy.

I have seen Seven Pistols for a Gringo, Man from Canyon City, The Man Who Came to Kill, 5 dollars for Ringo, Rebels in Canada, and Black Angel of the Mississippi, and (I think) Massacre at Fort Grant. For the most part, they are somewhat pedestrian early Spanish style westerns. 7 Guns for Timothy is something a comedy and it is enjoyable. Djurado is awful!

Yes there is a version with english audio now, it was not 100 % known at one point whether there was or not.

Ou yes! I love this poster! Very nice looking… gun ;D

Hmm, I’d really like to watch this flick.

And here is a screenshot from Porno Erotico - if it’s really taken from this then there must be some copies in Italy.

Does anyone have any information about Siete chacales? I’d like to watch it because it has Anthony Steffen, Gianni Garko and Eduardo Fajardo (at least according to IMDB), but can’t find it anywhere online for free

Are you sure it isn’t just an alternate name for … ‘Blood at Sundown’, $1,000 on the Black … there are many Spaghettis with 10 plus names and some even get re-named again when released on VHS. It does get confusing at times

@aldo

It has to be a different film. There’s an IMDB page
https://m.imdb.com/title/tt0072159/?ref_=nm_flmg_t_13_act

And I found a trailer in English! But this doesn’t look like a western to me. Maybe it tries to be a hybrid western?

What an interesting and intriguing discovery!

I can’t say I am particularly impressed with the camera angles on the fight scene though as you can clearly see that the punches are missing by a mile. It looks like a very amateurish professional wrestling match.

Obviously not a spaghetti western but some of our regulars are definitely included in the cast.

I would say Siete chacales is set sometime between 1800 and 1820 in Spain; most likely after the end of the Napoleonic War in the Iberian Peninsula, the so-called Peninsular War (1807–1814), and according to LaVanguardia.com in the Sierra Morena.
