Name Your Favourite Top 30 Top 40 or Top 50 Films All Genres
Thanks for the kind words. I originally thought my taste was too “mainstream”, but I think its a good mix of genre’s. I try to keep an open mind when it comes to cinema.

btw, I added Corman’s House of Usher to my list. I can’t believe I forgot about that.
You are welcome and I can confirm that your list/taste is much closer to my own/popular
and if you adding the stupendous Edgar Allan POE/Roger Corman/Vincent Price:

FALL OF THE HOUSE OF USHER 1960 Vincent Price Mark Damon Myrna Fahey

With this selection you are elevating yourself into the realm of cinema greatness/elitism.
A film has to entertain, be memorable, be popular, be well acted/directed/written so
anything SW/Giallo/Hammer Films/Poe/Corman Horror is self evidently VERY CLASSIC

ROGER CORMAN made numerous excellent Classic Horror Films based on
Edgar Allan Poe writings and often starring VINCENT PRICE / RAY MILLAND.

These series of Films are true classics and Roger Corman was a master at achieving much
with small limited Financial budgets. His films deserve places in anybodys Top 40 or Top 50.

An Interesting Selection Of Westerns SWs Adventure Thrillers and Varied Films.

]

SD, I was looking at your top 50 and noticed your #40. I saw that movie at the drive-in sometime during the summer of '77. My friends and I had graduated high school that May and we had a ritual of going each Thursday night to the drive-in to drink beer and hang out. The movie was secondary of course, the beer drinking and girl-chasing were the primary reasons for our weekly visits. Anyway, one Thursday night, we got all rapt up in the movie and forgot about the girls. The movie was “Torso” and it was really good. Good enough to keep the attention of some beer-drinking 18 year old yahoos one summer night in a Texas drive-in movie. That’s saying something!

AceHigh

Greatly entertaining story about how you came to know that classic GIALLO masterpiece

TORSO 1974 JOHN RICHARDSON SUZY KENDALL LUC MERENDA

It needs to be a special film as you said to keep 18 year old Texans Concentrated on it
and TORSO 1974 along with 100s of Italian Giallos are films with style, thrills, greatness.
I hope you get to see many more like TORSO 74 and also keep away from alcohol/girls

No on second thought just stay away from the alcohol…the girls are something else

Funny, thirty years later and I still enjoy both…right along with a good SW!

Excellent !
