Mexican westerns section?

No, just trying to stick with the general theme of things…

I mean, they aren’t referred to as European Westerns

;D You’re such a misery-guts! YOU need a nickname, Stanters. I’m thinking of at least six right now! (I love you really. You’re my second-favourite German, after Steffi Graf)

Anyways Autephex, I vote for “Chimichanga!” So, at the top of their pages: “This is a Chimichanga!” Mmm, spicy.

And instead of a flag we’ll just have a little photo of Fernando Sancho

How about a “Tequila Western”?

Or maybe a flag of Fernando Sancho.

Haha, got a real laugh on that one

Personally, I think “Mexi-Western” sounds the best out of the suggestions ;D

I guess “Mexican Westerns” is fine. I just became used to seeing it referred to under those other terms while researching all these films

Enchilada westerns, right?

Anyway, here’s a review for El diabolico:
[s]El diabólico Review - The Spaghetti Western Database

Fuck it, can’t link to it. Well, look for it yourselves, haha.

Mexi-Western is all-embracing, for all those films similar to SWs aesthetically and in terms of content I propose Mexican Spaghetti or as an equivalent alternative Spaghetti alla messicana.

Here ya go

Haha, nice rating And an entertaining review.

Thanks! I translated an old Dutch review of mine, and added some stuff. I think I will do the same for El caballo del diablo. This is a western with Jorge Rivero about a good guy who dies, but comes back from the dead as a Satanic serial rapist. No, really.

I’ll do the Su precio… unos dólares later today. I also plan on watching René Cardona’s La mula de Cullen Baker, perhaps later today and review it. It’s fansubbed over at CG. So, that’s pretty neat.

Unearthing these rare flicks is a pretty cool project. And of course the more reviews, the better. Scherpschutter reviewed Guns & Guts somewhere, so perhaps he wants to put it in the database as well. Film entry itself still needs to be added. Will do that asap.

Nice, getting it now… probably will watch in the next day or two

Yeah, it is! I was planning on watching all top 20 stuff this month, but I think I may have to make November the month of Mexico instead!

Here’s another one I just found while searching, Los Hijos De Satanás (1972) (The Sons Of Satan)- Don’t know anything about it yet but its also on youtube in not so great quality:

And dvd on Amazon: Amazon.com

Not the best looking rip, but here’s a blog with a link to download Los Hijos De Satanás (1972)
http://cinemexicanodelgalletas.blogspot.com/2013/06/los-hijos-de-satanas1967jorge-rivero.html

Despite the name, sounds like a more typical story:
Two sworn enemies must put aside their differences and join forces to catch a gang of thieves led by a woman called “The Yara”. They must fight to save their village from the bandits and do everything necessary to prevent The Yara from controlling their destinies.

Actually, that blog linked above seems to have quite a lot of Mexican westerns linked for dl…
http://cinemexicanodelgalletas.blogspot.com/search/label/western

(183 of them, although many are not the enchilada variety)

Los Hijos De Satanás has been added to the db:

I will use your synopsis for the entry.

By the way, have you encountered
http://www.spaghetti-western.net/index.php/Super_Colt_38
With Jeffrey Hunter by the director of El caballo del diablo.

Have not come across that one yet

Here are a couple more that I saw with DVDs from the same company that released that Su Precio Unos Dolares DVD:
