Mario Migliardi

Mario Miglardi will forever go down in Spaghetti history as the composer to the crazy score to one of my favorties, Matalo! His scores are very strange. Having this dreamlike quality and almost resembling lounge music.

What do you guys think of him? What instruements does he use?

I think his style is so unique and strange that it is instantly recognisable. His use of haunting effects with great acoustics. His scores give each film a strange atmosphere that makes his Spaghetti western projects all have a similar feel. I likethe score to Price of Death because he recycles some of his Matalo! score. I think it is a unique idea because the Matalo! score is so unique that only that film could use it. But using it in POD is great. Adds a freaky atmosphere.

Also, you can here some of his Matalo score of the jukebox at fistful of pasta.

Yes know what you mean re Price of Death and Matalo! scores and was surprised at first. I like his western scores as different, and shame he did not do more.

His Shoot the Living, Pray for the Dead soundtrack aint too bad either… Especially like the I’m Not Your Pony-tune :stuck_out_tongue:

I like the Shoot the Living, Pray for the Dead score a lot.
