I have been looking for some time for a better version of this movie:

It seems there only exists a US NTSC version, fullscreen (very bad pan & scan) and generally a very poor print (it’s a 1987 tape from Trans World Entertainment… with a price tag of $69.99 on the back cover… sure hope nobody ever paid that much for this:o)).
I have a DVD-R of this version and the original tape as well (the latter I can’t check because my current VCR won’t play NTSC). Can anyone confirm that the original tape also has this dark, grainy, soft picture with washed-out colors? It really is the worst print I have ever seen for any movie, with the possible exception of some TV to VHS to DVD-R conversions.
According the this page [url=http://www.fistful-of-leone.com/forums/index.php?topic=5670.0]Great Treasure Hunt aka Monta in sella, figlio di...! (1972) the reviewer has seen a widescreen TV copy. I’m wondering if anyone else has this version? Widescreen would at least be a small step in the right direction.
I know the movie isn’t regarded highly, but I like director Tonino Ricci’s cheesy exploits in action/western/war movies, and this movie is very, very rare.
