I watched this at the cinema last year. It was quite entertaining. It’s full frontal Kinski with a lot of of raving madness.
A little late to the party…it’s been a while since anyone has posted here. I am a playwright and have broken ground on a new piece featuring K2. Would love to warm this Town Hall back up with your insights to his body of work, his personal life, and help me sift the fact from the fiction. Thanks!
Separating fact from fiction with KK is a tough one but I tend toward the position of if it sounds too outlandish it’s probably true.
@Phil_H I’m finding contradicting stories everywhere I look! WTF! And since he died in '91, there has been little to no rebuttal to what Pola puts forth in her book published in 2013. It’s odd. In Uncut, he only mentions Pola only a few times in passing. Yet, in the original 1989 pressing (I have the '97 edition), he apparently claimed that he had spent a week in bed with Nastassja which triggered a lawsuit from her which she quickly retracted. If anyone out there has a copy of the '89 edition, I sure would like to have a conversation with you.
I currently learning German through translating Pola’s book; have the first 41 pages done.
If anyone has tidbits, anecdotes, articles you would like discuss, I’m all ears.
