Gave this a shot. A little over ten minutes in and we’re getting the roll call for each of the main crew members (their campy costuming/character designs) and their gimmicks, as they smile one-by-one at the camera, like an 80s sitcom opening credits. It was then I knew what I was in for, and was all for it, proverbial popcorn in hand.
Drags on a bit, a couple of the characters’ gimmicks felt underused/underdefined. But still, fun nonetheless, for something with about as much characterization as an episode of Speed Racer.
Was suprised to see them bust out the underwater rig for their camera too.
