No italian audio exist for this movie?
I’ve been using the community top list as a guide in seeking out SWs (i.e. I started by completing the top 20 then moved on to numbers 20 to 30 etc.). After all - that is why the list was created surely!
This one was a genuine pleasant surprise. It is currently sat at number 60 in the community list but it is (thus far…) the lowest placed film to make my personal top 20. The story, the acting and the action/gun fights I thoroughly enjoyed. Yes it has some flaws but so what. A hidden gem!

11th on my SW Top list (8/10) and it immediately gave me a “quality” feeling (nice Bluray - hmm it is a DVD only I saw from my comment from 2020 above but looks really good)) , by far the best SW with Mark Damon as the antihero (although his performance in Requiescant (7/10) as George Bellow Ferguson was the most impressing one but hardly an antihero, or ? 
)
Of course Rosalba Neri increased the visual entertainment.

Yes I used that method myself starting 2018, but a couple of years later went systematically chronolically from around 1966 and forward reading forum threads of all possible candidates that not were comedies or zapatas.

‘Johnny Yuma’ debuted in the U.S. at a ‘pre-vue’ screening in Smyrna, Tennessee on July 1 1967, followed by Philadelphia, Los Angeles and Atlanta in August 67.

Very nice film. I feel like there’s some valid grumbles to be had with Johnny Yuma, but overall I found it solid. Some excellent production value compared to some spaghetti westerns. I loved the filming locations and some of the camera work. It felt a film that wanted to take itself serious (in terms of quality filmmaking) and it did, in my opinion.
7/10. Probably a 7.5…
I did think the pacing was a little slow, especially in the first half of the flick (this has been mentioned a couple of times). Runtime could have been trimmed by 10 or so minutes.
Also, I’m usually one to bemoan the comedic Mexican in this genre, but this is one of the rare occasions that I was ok with Fidel Gonzales in his role. I am also a huge fan of Damon so I can’t criticise him as much as some have, I think he was great and I think he always brought something a little different to these roles.
Minor spoilers ahead. Couple of really dark moments I thought were captured well too. The beating of the young boy, as mentioned by some. Also one that made me open my eyes a little was the family murdered after the gang suspected they were hiding Damon. Just a dark scene of Ferdinando Poggi leaving the houses with the family murdered.

For me no pacing problems, but the comedy sidekick is still a flaw.

One of the better Spaghetti westerns I reckon. Solid story, nicely paced and a neat twist at the end. The stirring soundtrack works too.
Its a rare thing for a female star to play such a strong character in an Italian Western. Women are weakly type cast in these movies. Saloon tarts, victims, or at best the dutiful sheriff’s wife, that’s how it usually plays out.. . For me, Rosalba Neri’s devilish gold digger Samantha steals the show. She’s so beautiful and manipulative, she almost seduces a parrot.
Johnny Yuma has its flaws like most SW’s. But apart from a few silly fisticuff scenes and Johnny’s irritating sidekick, its a well made enjoyable ride.
Rather cheesy at times with a few attempts at humour, its also a brutal film with convincing torture scenes. There’s a noticeable cut in the film when the little boy Pepe is beaten and murdered by Pedro’s gang, typical SW brutality. The censor probably thought it too nasty.
Johnny Yuma is an unpredictable movie and that’s no bad thing when watching a film. Many of these SW’s are so predicatble and boring.
I think Johnny Yuma is a good deal above average for a SW; kinda disappointed more didn’t see it that way. Perhaps I’m reading too much into it. I just thought it was a great looking movie, the exterior shots and action set pieces were well filmed with some good music which always helps. I recognised some sets from A Fistful of Dollars too where Clint Eastwood rides into San Miguel.
A good cast and screenplay I give this 7/10. I loved the final few minutes, its one of the best endings in a SW I think, so different from the usual showdown. The evil Samantha gets her just desserts by way of a perfectly fired bullet to her water can as she tries to escape, not knowing what fate awaits her in the desert. A clever touch to end a good movie..Adios !!

Yeah agree,he’s annoying. Not so that he ruined a decent film though. But Johnny should have drowned him in the bathtub..maybe that’s a bit harsh 
Agree totally. I enjoy the sidekick, and Rosalba is, as always, stunning as the femme fatale. Loved the way the film began, with Yuma taking out the gunmen … then taking the girl.
