Sales-wise it makes perfect sense choosing 4K releases of stuff that never got a really widespread blu-ray release. It’s more fun upgrading to 4k from nothing or a dvd than from a couple of years old blu-ray
BU does excellent work on their restorations though, it will be a blast to see it
Yes I have no doubt this will look stunning
I won’t be upgrading to 4K because I haven’t got the time or money for it. I’ve actually gone back to purchasing DVDs because the price of second hand Blu rays is getting a bit ridiculous. Recently I purchased Bava’s Hatchet for a Honeymoon. I had the choice between a DVD for £2.50 or a Blu-ray for £15. I didn’t have to think twice!
Looks like the High Crime 4k set is available for pre-order on Amazon. Release date is end of August. But $60 is a hefty price tag. Ouch.
Yeah I ordered just the blu-ray from OrbitDVD for $21.99, much more in my price range. I think they have the 4K for $39.99 though.
Oh yeah, much better. Never heard of Orbitdvd. You’ve ordered from them before?
All the time, they package with perfection in cardboard boxes and if you order 3 items you get free shipping. I got High Crime, The new edition of The Italian Connection and Sympathy for an Underdog pre-ordered in that order.
Just got my high crime in the mail, will review it soon

I see you’ve closed my 11 year old Kickstarter thread! I bought two different blu rays of High Crime a year or so ago after waiting since about 2004 to see a decent copy.
When I finally put on the blu ray I didnt like the film half as much as I loved it 20 yeara ago. Im still tempted to buy this new release though. I guess its a form of madness.
@AngelFace It’s far from my favorite Italian Crime film but this looks like the definitive release so had to pre-order. It’s still a fun watch.
