I think my version is a foreign T.V print, as their is a small T.V style logo in the top right hand corner when the film starts. There are no more logoās during the film or adverts though, and is in about 2.00 widescreen ratio. The print seems a bit more cleaned up and sharper than the VHS as I recall. The english audio is probably from the U.K tape, and the hiss rate is not to bad at all.

Itās funny how the best genre reference books seem to be coming out of Germany. Today I received the new edition of the else long OOP Italian crime and gangstermovie reference book Der Terror fĆ¼hrt Regie
Yesterday, I watched my first Italian crime film, Fulciās Contraband. And I think I should ride this for a while. While never abandoning my beloved spaghetti lifestyle. Anyway, Contraband was a really entertaining film. Very violent and that rape scene really disturbed me. Romano Puppo is quite a bastard. And that vampire looking shithead pissed me off too. Even spotted Luci Fulci himself wielding a machine gun at the filmās finale.
Iāll try Revolver next. Is that violent as well?
REVOLVER is a genre classic. Itās more of a political thriller. It has its moments of violence, but it isnāt like some of the more grim entries. It is more in the company of films like CONFESSIONS OF A POLICE CAPTAIN, HOW TO KILL A JUDGE, INVESTIGATION OF A CITIZEN ABOVE SUSPICION, movies like that. It has a great Morricone score, too. The film is also a bit reminiscent of Sollimaās FACE TO FACE.
Btw, does anybody have any news regarding High Crime? It was supposed to be released by Blue Underground but hasnāt come out yet. Has the release been cancelled?
Franco Nero and Martin Balsam give super performances in this great crime film from Damiani involving corruption in Italy circa 1970ās. Well worth seeking out.
