Same here…got my copy today.
As with their excellent release ‘Fistful of Dollars’, ‘Arrow’ appears to have once again delivered the goods…with hours of extras, audio commentaries, plus exceptional picture and audio quality on the standard BD. The opening titles are a bit iffy, but everything then picks up in terms of clarity.
Of course, one of the gripes from fans (which I can understand), is that no Italian audio track is included.
If you bought the Italian BD (see below) a few years ago, you can listen to the original Italian language, but there are no English subtitles. If you know the lines of dialogue inside out, then this should not be a problem…
Roll on June, and the release of ‘GBU’…
I’ve just watched one extra so far…Alex Cox re-discovering the ‘FAFDM’ locations. Alex is passionate, but breathless for most of the doc…I can’t blame him… I was fu…ed when I last went there, in 2009, running around with a camera in 35 degree temperatures…
Alex also makes a mistake regarding one of the locations, but corrects himself. All in all, a beautiful extra, presented by a gentleman who loves the genre…
I’ve just started listening to the Tim Lucas AC…if it’s as good as it was for ‘Fistful’, I’ll be more than happy…
I’m looking forward to discovering the other treasures hidden in the latest ‘Dollars’ BD release…
Afterthought:
I need to dig out my Joe Millard paperback of ‘FAFDM’, to see how it differs from the film…I’ve not read it for years now.
