I Just Bought … (the SW Shopping Diary)

That coach lasted. I got a bit in 1974. Piece of carved window frame about 8 inch long. Easy to fit in a suitcase. I went with a friend in 2000; showed him the location. Nearly thirty years of baking in the sun had dried the wood so much it crumbled in our hands.

Unless you were familiar with the movie, the fragments left behind wouldn’t mean a thing - there was still a lot of debris in 2008, but by 2013 the area was being planted with little trees of some kind, so eventually it will be obscured completely.

I was so relieved that I didn’t have my treasure taken at customs, as the piece I found has a large nut and bolt completely rusted, and the wood is a thick slice, but fragile.

That’s good. I like waiting for something I ordered. It’s a bit like a mini Christmas feeling.
Is it the Blue Underground version? I had it but the dog broke it.
I bought the Blue Underground triple feature thinking that every disc was region 0. I could not play COMPANEROS so I bought a Region 0 version from South Korea. :kr:

I have spoke with a guy on Facebook called Mike Malloy. He is responsible for some of the extras on Grand Duel. He also spoke about the status of Franco Nero’s FOUTH HORSEMAN/ KEOMA 2 project. He claims to have briefly been involved in the writing.

Some Wild East releases showed up this week, just in time for my 4 week vacation that starts tomorrow.

Wow, a 4 week vacation; sweet! When my Dad was still working (he’s retired now) the max he could get was 2 weeks vacation. Normally I work a couple days per week as a busboy every summer, which is great for indulging in getting Blu Rays and DVDs, but this pandemic slowed that to practically nothing. I’m rambling a bit there, enjoy the items and your vacation.

Thank you, I surely will! Well I guess the Covid-19 situation has paralyzed the job possibilities for alot of people, hopefully it will get better soon. In Sweden you can have a maximum of 4 weeks in a row, and a total of 5 weeks a year. I work in construction, as a carpet fitter / floor installer and really need a 4 week lay off in order to charge the batteries!

I’ve just bought ‘Black Jack’.

Thanks to a fellow SW fan, I received an autograph from Robert Woods, three years ago.
It was a scene from ‘Black Jack’.
It arrived at a time, in my life, when I believed that life was not worth living.
The signed photo of Robert gave me hope, at a time when I needed it the most.

I’m looking forward to seeing this. Robert Woods is a favourite of mine.
The recent ‘Podcast’ showed just how much of a trooper that Robert is…

I have nothing but respect for Robert Woods, because he has shown, in recent years, how much it takes, to stand tall, amidst adversity.

A happy, long life, Robert…

Thank you for ‘Black Jack’, ‘Pecos’, ‘McGreggor’, and many amigos that have shared their adventures with us…We welcome them all.

Robert, we look forward to seeing you on another pod-cast…

Sorry for the delay- yes it is the blue underground release (Companeros). Cool interview with Franco and Thomas and a pretty good audio commentary.

Is that project still in the works (Keoma 2)? Grand Duel is chalk full of great bonus material.

Another topic - Have not been able to find bounty killer on you tube. Finally found it on “Films and clips” yesterday (uploaded 3 weeks ago). Unfortunately not subtitled in English yet. Same thing with Gatling Gun - cannot find a stream for it. I know they are on DVD.

Hi Gregory I have put together the conversation about KEOMA 2 i had on Facebook removing NAMES.
A german company is working on the post production at the moment (editing, color timing, sound effects…).
As far as I know no filming has ever been done on this project. When The Sisters Brothers was being made Enzo was in Almeria looking for filming locations and that was several years ago. This film is still in limbo.
It became a Keoma sequel while Eric Zaldivar and I were (briefly) the screenwriters. Now, we’re just cast members … hopefully on something that gets produced one day.
Not with our involvement. The producers always seem close to finding production finance, but it’s brutally tough out there.

I have BOUNTY KILLER ON my Video Asia dvd set, lots of great titles in it but not a first rate production. However I believe it is in English. I will double check for you. :+1:

The audio is shit, same as the German dvd. English though. By the way, answers to this type of question can all be found in the respective dvd pages of the database entries.

This one came in the mail today. Global Video DVD $_1
