It’s had very polarising reviews so, in that sense, I guess it’s worth a look; just to see for yourself if you think it’s a brilliant and different take on a bona fide classic (as I do) or if it’s an aimless pile of auld bumshit (as do many, and I understand why they might feel that way). It’s long, it’s slow (like: S L O W), and despite some grisly sequences it’s a very “arthouse” horror, whatever that means. If that sounds like your bag at all, it’s a must-see.
I’m none the wiser! just wondered if it’s mere existence offended the Argento fans.
Enjoyed the original, but I’m no connoisseur of the genre, but will give it a go at some point. Thanks.
personally I didn’t like the remake but maybe that’s just me.

And I added this to my Italian collection:
7 goldene Männer / Das Superding
New blu-rays:
The only two Pixar movies I didn’t own (other than the new Toy Story picture, which I’ve not seen yet). I had little interest in ever acquiring these but, you know, baby daughter and all that. It might be nice to settle down to these two with her one day. Plus, they were only £7 each which isn’t usual form for Disney.
Bargain of the day!

Another Italian masterpiece arrived today on blu-ray:
The Golden Arrow
Good luck fitting it on your shelf!
That looks like a fantastic set!
