THERE ARE SOM MISUNDERSTANDINGS REGARDING WHICH HAUS IS CALLED WHAT. I Will correct.
I and my wife are NOW staying in a very practical hotel in Torrelodones around 7 km from the pueblo center of Hoyo de Manzanares and will look for a Requiem For A Gringo-location or two. The one below is shown around 4+ minutes in the SW with zoom as you might remember.
I was a hasty decision last weekend since the weather was rapidly turning autumn-like and chilly for a shorts distance runner like me 
And the previstos have been even worse, so today before 1 PM I hope to secure my bet on this one : (actually it is a second bet of the two suggested houses on Google maps, the last one found yesterday but only on the internet Google maps even if we were nearby yesterday before the darkness).
It will be around 2 km of uphill running slowly…and back - or totaling more if it was not the right place and/or angle.

Casa La Matalasgrajas highest up in the hills, La Frauga only a ruin on Google Maps, and much below the other candidate near school area ,Corral de estudiante mand justnunder its “…est” if you study the map in detail with zoom.

We went to the expected possible way up and higher up than to the all the 3 “candidates” but that second dirt road up the hills was ALSO forbidden since I spoke to the military men at the first one with the passage control.
But I asked him about the house with the screenshots on paper and he said he recognised it. It seems it should be the first candidate which I had seen at google maps and street view 2 years ago. It is called Casa Las Matalasgrajas. That house we saw today but from below and the only paths going there seems to be somewhat forbidden. My wife took a photo of it. I wonder though why we/I didn’t notice the ruins visible on Google Maps of La Fragua.
I asked a local guy and according to my wife she thought she heard him to say that a bribe to the military police there might be effective 
Well, I have not made a will yet so…
We heard distant shooting (no rodajes ! ) so I will contemplate the next step and the bad weather and during that time also try this one on Colmenar viejo tomorrow from around 3+ minutes in the same movie. It is a rather clear 25 kilometer drive from here on the C618 and C609 roads also passing through the town Colmenar Viejo.
We also did somé running on the paths nearly a km south of the former Golden City area. Many have visited that place etc so it is not a priority now, But maybe we will go to the exact place one of the last three days here.
Later I will most likely post relevant fotos…Not so good at that now !

The house number one candidate, Casa Las Matalasgrajas, my wife could take a photo of with better zoom when we were there, and she hals also sent it to me as shown here I will learn soon I hope to transfer photos from my smartphone but haven’t had time for that…
First we met a nice “Gandalf” type wandering the hills with a long walking stick (the image below a screenshot from Youtube). He told me that we should go down again, but that was the lower angle that was not wished…
The photo was taken after the military way up was realised forbidden the SAID. But there IS a casa con tiros in the hills above all the 3 candidates .
Anyhow another more troblesome way is the front from the pueblo and above in the hills over all three candidates in the stony bush, but it is NOT so good even going carefully…
This angle (the photo of Casa Las Matalasgrajas) I discovered on Street view 2 years ago, and street viw should be still there of course (haven’t checked).
SO THAT interesting location is found BUT…the right angle still missing (from upwards in the hills above), BUT maybe NO this does NOT resemble the house in the SW, or - is it reconstructed ? ! That is not unusual and my best bet…
Or the target could be La Fragua (not so likely) or more likely, the one close or in the military complex and maybe it was even more reconstructed and NOT military building (of course) before when the film was made. It looked like a nice country estate in the SW…
So something fishy here
I want to travel as the map shows, to the dirt road marked under with a black line but maybe military guys will keep stopping me to try ??? Bribe them ?
Neither ANGLE to the 2 black spots from the dirt road seem perfect to match the angle from the mule and antihero Logan to the house in the film…
However the map not from google with the names of the houses imply there ARE OTHER roads/paths above Casa MataLasgrajas.
THAT AREA IS interesting…
See the correction of house names. The highest black spot marks the number one candidate which is called Casa LasMatagrajes. La Fragua is just a ruin and probablo of low relevance as may be the house near the military complex most south east.
I thougt I hade a solution to the actual problem near Hoyo de Manzanares and that is to try to take a TAXI and define the wished destination, in this case “campo de tiros” in the hills close to the path I want to look for the “camera” spot from the SW where Logan is riding on his mule and you can see the location/house. It seems strange otherwise that there are military shooting etc /which we heard yesterday NEAR that campo de tiros which should be a civilian location.
BUT campo tiros is not animal farm but shooting area 
So there will probably be a problem even will a taxi ride…Hmmm

Regarding some SW sequences at or around Logan’s estate in Requiem For A gringo I still believe some of them were filmed near the estate now called Casa de Matalasgrajas.
Mata = kills The Spanish word “grajas” translates to “rooks” in English, a type of bird similar to crows.

There are a few possible screenshots from that sequence that might be found near or rather at the Matalasgrajas estate in the north east part of Hoyo de Manzanares but it is private and all the area at north east of the estate now is military area but was also the proposed location for his mule ride in the mountain small dirt road in the hills above the estate, at 4+ minutes in the SW Requiem For A Gringo.
Yesterday we met a man at a walking dirt road (along immediately south of the estate) who hade moved to this pueblo from Madrid just 2 years ago and he said he wanted to live at the house !
He also said, in contrary to other local people a few days ago that it was visited sometimes by the owner(s) so our last chance today or Saturday Nov 7 AM might be some more a little trespassing to try to prove that some screenshots could match real wold observations at Casa de Matalasgrajas estate.
The rock types are typical there and maybe some screenshots might be located just outside the estate for legal location hunters also ???
It is very rugged stony area north of the estate and north east is the military forbidden area. The Spanish guy we met yesterday evening at around 17.00 said the fines could be big if you are caught that is…He hinted that you might be able to sneek unobserved close to the house…
We will probably try to go there in the middle of the day that is soon, when the rainy previsto seems the least unacceptable for us Fuengirola citizens with their/(our soon) sunny 20+ the coming week is a paradise for runners…
But THIS initial seconds of mule ride and THIS screen-shot shows MORE clues IN ANOTHER DIRECTION with a undulating curve-line of “stones” or ? - maybe marking an estate border or the like. Those strutures and distant mountain should be visible on Google Maps 3D IF it is the correct house Casa de Matalascrajas we have as the number 1 candidate, in spite of that not all features of the house seem to fit…
So now checking G 3D before going out today - and my wife gets crazy of new plans But this is realtime research and SHE as a genuine researcher and PhD etc etc should know…

YEES ! - it is the correct spot for the mule ride, uphill above the house, thus implying the house at least MUST be in the taget area. The house should NOT be the casa La Frugua - “Fragua” means forge (a furnace for heating metal) or smithy (a workshop for smithing) in English which is situated below where me walked yesterday before sun set (after the succeding effort near Cerro SanPedro at Comenar Viejo)-
So the plans now, also with no rain hopefully will be a little bit tresp.. sorry just enjoying the northeastern neighborhoods of pueblo Hoy de Manzanares, and MAYBE have some time for running closer to or ON Golden City befor sunset today Friday Nov 7 before going to Fuengirola late afternoon from Atoch railway station in Madrid Nov 8
An hour ago I threatened my wife for an even longer unplanned before stay at this hotel !
And before going out maybe 14.00 I found the ultimate proof for the La Casa de Lasmatagrajas in the distant mountain in a certain angle in the movie AND on google maps 3D as shown below :

Location of Logan’s house - Casa de Matalasgrajas - proved location - and a screenshot with the bandits with the big rock - match the photo from Nov 7 near the same Casa with the same big rock (although not exactly the same angle defined as what you can see examining both thoroughly).
The story of our little rainy adventure TODAY - might appear within a day or two

My wife was the productive one regarding photos. She took maybe 50-100 photos on both locations together, and I may not dare to show many of them later - for example of Logan’s house in the current state which revealed an ongoing new look so to speak. Lucky us it was raining heavily so a Friday visit by the owners was less likely My wife saw deers on the big estate and the rock photos rock in ambudance When my own lap top has more interesting photos transferred I will post some at least…

My own photos Friday
- The former “Logan´s” house, and as you can see they are building some new features in a completely other style….
- The road inside the property leading to the house.
- The property is wide (this part called Las Fragua but the corresponding ruins of the connected house La Fragua is to the south east)
- Another angle with house view
- More rocks
My wife has photos of the house from the mountain direction behind where you can see the old parts of the house from the SW much better. I will probably get at least one later I hope. But the SW close view of a finer house should be from another location near Madrid…(Casa de campo?)

And my photo in about the same angle but of the right part. Her version of the house is more close to the originial but mine seems quite different but of course is the same house with its new facade to the right.
