Happy holidays
As usual - I didn’t read the small print.
Anyway since we’re talking about 40 year old films, don’t reckon a coupl’a years’ll matter much tho’. :)
Good point…that long…
SD - Christmas Kid - it’s pretty entertaining. Lots of Christ/Christmas analogies in this one. As you pointed out, Jeffrey Hunter had previously played Jesus in 'King of Kings’1961, and was famous for that role.
In this s.w. (JN/CK) has the child born at Christmas in a ‘manger’/shelter of sorts but he believe that he becomes an orphan at this point. I remember (best I can) that there are 3 ‘wise men’ who agree to bring him up … after following a light? There’s also ‘biblical’ temptation - a prostitute and maybe the Devil himself. It certainly could do with another viewing this season.
Good memories Reverend

As you say this is a very original SW, that has numerous “religious” and “xmas” links.
It needs many viewings as it is a really good enjoyable film as all SIDNEY PINK Films.

…and not worth falling out about?
I maintain that I am entitled to an opinion that differs from your own. But I was CLUMSY, and RUDE, and maybe out for a cheap laugh - and for that I UNRESERVEDLY APOLOGISE.
If you didn’t detest alcohol, I’d buy you a pint …
HAPPY CHRISTMAS AMIGO!?

Have nice days, friends. See you soon. Merry christmas…

Merry Christmas, everyone

Stay safe and have fun.

Happy Christmas to everyone.
Hoping the festive season brings you all you wish for.

No Spaghetti western DVD for christmas >:( , but I have 40 in my backlog pile to watch ;D.
Merry Xmas to all!

Hey Bill, where the fuck did you got this (extremely nice) pic of my girl friend?

None for me either, (Unless Hannie Caulder counts) but to be fair it is pretty hard for the family to track down what I want in that regard.
They did come up trumps however, with a pile of classic U.S westerns which will replace old vhs copies currently on the shelf.
7 Men from Now
Man From Laramie
Little Big Man
Broken Arrow
The Far Country
Joe Kidd

Plus the wife chipped in with an interesting looking book, The Spaghetti Western: A Thematic Analysis by Bert Fridland.

All in all, I think I did pretty well.

Yes, you have received some good items there ;D .

Till now it is the Anolis “Cemetery without crosses” release and the book of Christian Kessler “Willkommen in der Hölle”. Hoping for some more

Finally got two films that were missing in my collection:

TETEPA (S.E. DVD + CD - listening to it at this very moment)
And that wonderful Stateside Spaghetti:
HANG 'M HIGH
Both films replace old VHS tapes; the DVD version of TEPEPA is actually at least a quarter of an hour longer than the version I’m familiar with, and - already checked that - has great 5.1 sound (only Italian) and Italian subtitles for the HOH (which make things easier for those whose native tongue is not Italian).

And I got:
NIRVANA - Live in New York, the legendary acoustic concert for MTV (I’ll be listening to that very soon)

I KNOW ITS EARLY ,BUT MERRY CHRISTMAS TO EVERYONE ON THE BOARD

Merry Christmas to you too Naushad…

Whatever became of the spaghetti westerns you said you were going to release in the last couple of months? Did any of them surface?

Not bad - you wanted to be the first one to wish a merry X-mas
